I am writing in reply to your article that I read recently. There are two sides to this argument:
True - yes, it is true to say that certain children watch too much television. They come home from school and sit down straight away to watch children's programmes. I think it's the parents' fault: they should not allow their children to choose when they can watch TV. For parents, it is easy to look after their children when they are sat in front of the television.
False - not all children watch lots of TV. There are lots who go out and play and many others who play with their video games.
In my opinion you cannot generalise. In my school, there are lots of teams and clubs and there is lots to do for everyone. There will always be those whose only interest is television, but there are also those who are very active.
